The 2008 DC Simulcafes
Sigma Xi, the scientific research society, is holding its Annual Meeting in Washington DC this weekend. This year the organizing theme is water, with a special focus on the growing global water crisis.
To mark the occasion, Sigma Xi has teamed up with the public television program NOVA scienceNOW to bring four science café events to the DC Metro area. With each café starting around the same time and building off the same theme, this may be the first "Simulcafe" the world has seen!
Each event is free and open to the public. Show up close to the starting times so you don't miss out. Expect good food and drink, good company, and great conversation.
